Addressing relationship issues
Relationship problems are not exclusive to life partners, they can occur between siblings, parents and children, friends and colleagues, in fact anywhere that you are required to communicate with someone.
Problems that occur within any of these dynamics are invariably caused by a clash in beliefs, values, communication styles, expectation and often situations out of their control like illnesses and other life events.
An atmosphere of resentment, fear, jealousy or dissatisfaction has often reached a significant level before a client seeks help, and blame is often being apportioned to one party or the other, so emotions are running high.
To address relationship issues I may meet with both parties, individually and together, but that is not always possible or necessary, especially where the other person may not even be aware of the level of upset or distress in the relationship.

Assisting In Understanding
This is often the case with elderly parents and grown up children, when the adult child feels hindered by triggers from their childhood experiences.
Whatever the situation or the relationship the aim is never to apportion blame, but to assist the client or clients in understanding why they feel the way they do, to gain a new perspective, address the triggers and learn a new way of feeling and being, whether together or apart.
Sometimes the aim is not to rebuild a relationship but to find acceptance and peace in its ending.
We can also offer support in:
- Coping and caring for an unwell family member
- Trauma
- Grief
- Parenting
- Sexual and Gender Identity Issues
There are many techniques beyond counselling and coaching that can help create these positive changes including IEMT, NLP and Hypnosis.
If you would like to talk to us about support and change with your relationship challenges then please call the clinic to book a complimentary consultation.
