What is it and how does it work?
Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT) is a brief therapy that utilises simple eye movements and questioning techniques to change a particular thought pattern or situation that “triggers” you into a negative state.
Triggers are the response of your defence mechanism to protect you from perceived dangers from the past, whether that be earlier today or decades ago.
All incoming information from our senses goes through a filter that asks “when have I been here before and what could be wrong with it?” This is how we know not to eat something that smells bad or touch something that is hot.
Unfortunately it also means that when a negative emotion gets attached to any situation the emotional response to that memory may remain unconsolidated i.e. they have not been filed as no longer relevant. This then forms that unconscious trigger that can keep popping up in inappropriate and unnecessary times.

Highly Effective For All Ages
IEMT techniques help to create change by rapidly reducing unwanted feelings to help you to resolve issues by consolidating these memories.
It does this through an eye movement pattern as moving our eyes in certain ways appears to link to the part of the brain that stores our memories and emotions. This can lead to rapid release and relief.
IEMT can also show you why you may repeat unwanted behaviours and how to deal with this without the need for digging into the past.
Unlike many psychological therapeutic processes, IEMT does not require you to disclose lots of details about your experience or give details about troublesome events. It is in effect a “secret therapy”. Disclosure is not required and your secrets remain secret.
This therapy is highly effective for all ages and for a broad spectrum of situations personal and professional. It works very well alongside other therapies for rapid change bypassing the need to go into the stories and emotions from the past.
