I live near Wimborne with my husband, three gorgeous children and a very energetic dog! I have been a teacher working in secondary education for nearly two decades and I love working with children. I originally started my training to become an Ollie coach to help me better understand my own children and their emotions. I felt it would also help me support my students at school given the heightened levels of anxiety and stress that many young people face today. I qualified as an emotional wellbeing coach using the Ollie model in 2020 at the height of lockdown. I had to do my final case study sessions and assessment online which wasn’t the easiest thing as it was a rather alien way of working back then! However, over the past few years I have been drawn more towards coaching and away from teaching allowing me to start part two of my career.
The Ollie model is NLP based therapeutic coaching where the coach, in this case me, guides the client through an exploration of their emotions and how these are the root of all behaviour. It empowers clients to understand that they are in control of their emotions rather than the other way around and helps them create techniques and solutions to reduce unwanted feelings and also to reframe past events. None of us can change what has happened in the past, as much as we would want to, but we can change how we see it now and what emotion is attached to that memory. That is what Ollie coaching can help you to do therefore allowing you to move through life without the emotional burden that you carried before.
The Ollie Model is an award winning therapeutic coaching model that was devised by Alison Knowles incorporating NLP, parts therapy and positive psychology. It is strengths-based, focusing on helping clients discover their own inner resources and build the confidence to resolve challenges independently. Ollie Coaching is suitable for both children and adults as is it playful and effective with many clients seeing a difference in just a few sessions.
Ollie coaching is effective for helping with a number of different issues including:
- Anxiety
- Stress
- Weight loss, stopping smoking etc.
- Phobias
- Exam stress
- Improving self esteem, confidence
- School refusal
The list could go on as Ollie coaching is so effective at targeting the unwanted emotions that impact our behaviour. Get in touch today to have a free no obligation phone call to see if Ollie coaching is something that you feel might help give you the tools to meet whatever life throws at you!
What to expect
A first session will involve a thorough history take to explore what issues are affecting the client allowing me to put a plan in place for the following weeks. Sessions are normally a mix of talking about the unwanted feelings and specific interventions that are designed to reframe emotional responses to past or present events.
Sessions are an hour long and cost £85.
