As a Nutritional Therapist and a mother of two boys, I have always been passionate about promoting health and wellbeing. I graduated with distinction from the Institute for Optimum Nutrition, where I was honoured with the Revital prize for academic excellence in 2008.
Recently, I have also become certified as a Nutrigenomics Practitioner, which is the scientific study of the interaction of our genes with diet and lifestyle to create the most personalised and proactive health plan. I also use Thought Field Therapy to address emotions that might be creating barriers to change.
Apart from my professional qualifications, I am a lifelong learner and have always been fascinated by different topics. My interests range from cookery to languages, psychology, and many more. However, my primary focus these days is on health and wellbeing, as I believe that this is an area where I can make a positive impact on people’s lives.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, learning the drums, yoga and pilates. Reading helps me stay updated on the latest research and trends in the field of nutrition, while yoga, pilates and music provide a much-needed break from my busy schedule and allow me to recharge my batteries.
As a Nutritional Therapist, my goal is to empower my clients to take charge of their health and wellbeing. I believe that everyone has the potential to lead a healthy and fulfilling life, and my job is to help them unlock that potential. By understanding the unique needs of each individual and tailoring my recommendations accordingly, I aim to create a personalized plan that is both effective and sustainable.
Having experienced hormone difficulties in my younger years which I have always resolved using natural measures, and a resurgence of difficulties during peri-menopause as a busy mum, it is my passion to help other women over 40 navigate this stage with ease.
Overall, I am grateful for the opportunity to pursue my passion for health and wellbeing and to make a positive difference in people’s lives. Whether it is through my professional work or personal interests, I am committed to continuing my learning journey and to staying at the forefront of the latest developments in this field.
The Origins of Nutritional Therapy
Nutritional Therapy is a holistic approach to health that uses food, nutrition and lifestyle interventions as the basis for promoting optimal health. While the use of food as medicine has been around for centuries, the origins of Nutritional Therapy as a distinct discipline can be traced back to the early 20th century.
In the 1920s and 1930s, a number of pioneering nutritionists and physicians began to recognize the importance of diet in maintaining health and preventing disease.
One of the most prominent figures in this movement was Dr. Weston A. Price, a dentist who traveled the world studying the diets and health of traditional societies. Price’s research showed that these societies, which had not been exposed to the modern Western diet, had excellent dental health and were virtually free from chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer, and diabetes.
In the decades that followed, Nutritional Therapy continued to evolve, with practitioners from a variety of disciplines, including nutrition, medicine, and naturopathy, contributing to its development.
Today, Nutritional Therapy is an established and growing field, with practitioners around the world using food and nutrition to help individuals achieve optimal health and support a wide range of health conditions. The discipline continues to evolve, with ongoing research and new discoveries helping to refine and improve the practice of Nutritional Therapy.
BANT, The British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine was established in 1997 and is the leading professional body for Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioners, supporting them in the professional application of nutrition and lifestyle sciences.

How it works
Consultations are offered in packages as experience has shown that this works much better for both the client and the practitioner and produces much better results for the client. I also offer DNA testing and interpretation which is a very simple cheek swab plus an interpretation consultation.
What to expect at a session
Before the consultation
Before the consultation you will need to fill out a questionnaire, short food diary, consent form and terms and conditions. I will then review those in preparation for the consultation.
During the consultation
Firstly, during the consultation, I will start by clarifying any points from the questionnaire I need more information on. I will then explain to you what I believe are the underlying causes of your health concerns. Lastly, we will make a plan together for diet and lifestyle changes and testing and supplementation recommendations where necessary. Testing and supplementation are completely optional, but often these speed up the results you are aiming to achieve.
Follow-up
The recommendations will be delivered in manageable amounts with accountability to help you move forward at a pace that is right for you. All recommendations are tailored to your individual circumstances.
In between consultations
For the ultimate package, short questions can be answered in between consultations via Healthpath Pro messenger. Messages will aim to be answered within 24hrs. If you require urgent medical attention please call 111 or your GP.

About DNA testing
DNA testing is the most advanced form of personalised nutrition as it looks at variances on our genetic code and how that is influenced by diet and lifestyle to find the optimum diet for you. It is also key for looking ahead and preventing problems further down the line.
Knowledge is power and this cutting edge science is revolutionary for health optimisation.
Testing requires a simple cheek swap that is posted free post back to the lab.
Is my DNA safe?
Absolutely. Lifecode Gx never share this data with anyone except the practitioner requesting it.
Samples are destroyed after 6 months. Additional reports can be added before then for a reduced cost.
